Throughout the course of our life, many expectations are placed upon us as an individual. It comes in many forms of success, acceptance, desire and many more. It comes down to the all of us, whether we wish to meet these “expectations”, deny such assumptions, or simply just move on from such nonsense. The Reason behind this is because although such expectations are placed on us, we still have a mind of our own.
There is a certain acceptance and desire that we hope to achieve and this often clashes with such expectations from the people in our lives, mainly our families. whether it is better to please these “members” in our life or is it better to achieve one’s individualistic desires are up to each of us.
Personally, I do not really think that blood family really matters that much, they are important to a certain degree but that’s about it. It is overrated and usually comes with unrealistic and impossible nonsense.
It is true they raised us and we should repay them with dignity but there is an extent to it. The ones that really matter in life mostly do not always add up to include your parents unless you have really amazing ones, but in my generation and in this country, this kind of parents are extremely rare.
Most of the time it is the relationships that we develop ourselves that are really worth it. The ones that were there when you really needed them. The ones that went through difficult times and situations with, yours or theirs, the ones that listen when you need them to, and I mean really listen, not the ones that JUST listen if you know what I mean. What I am trying to say is that it is important to remember how and who got you here in the first place but never forget the ones that went through it with you.
Adults tend to always insert a certain propaganda to every information that blurts out of their mouth. The amount of bias that one must include when absorbing such knowledge is uncertain. Views on what achievement is required so you know what is success… and failure.
Now depending on the sort of person you are… you might not mind such assumptions but that clouds most of one’s ability to think as an individual. This is where ignorance is bliss comes into play, the comfort provided to some is satisfactory enough to live through such difficult times. Yet some do not think it is enough. We want more. We want to not succeed but to be remembered. There is always more to life than it is. It always has more to offer. But do one have that desire to achieve it…. or not. Think about it eh.
